Regular Occupation
In the context of Living Benefits Insurance, "Regular Occupation" refers to the specific job or profession in which the insured person is regularly engaged at the time of their total disability. If the insured person engages in any other gainful occupation between periods of total disability, that new occupation will be considered their regular occupation.
Key aspects of Regular Occupation include:
- Current Engagement: It is the occupation the insured is actively involved in at the time of disability.
- Change of Occupation: Any new gainful occupation engaged in between disability periods becomes the new regular occupation.
- Total Disability: Used to assess claims for total disability benefits.
